My personal philosophy for life is that I love all babies born or unborn.  In addition, I care and protect those who are neglected or brutalized growing up or in their aged years. Child abuse and neglect can be horrific through abusive parents or caretakers. Without intervention, it may lead to self -abuse or to the abuse of others.

Public policy has led to controversial laws that are not easily simplified. Public outcries between “pro-life” and “pro-choice” advocates have not fully addressed this issue.

Example: Roe vs Wade became law over 70 years ago during a time when some women died in bloody back alley “abortion” shops. Roe vs Wade made abortions legal for medical practitioners for any reason.  However, in a short time a culture change occurred, and abortions became the norm for some women as a form of birth control.

Now, a large percentage of abortions are also government-funded procedures. Norms changed with abortion considered a legal “right” and as slogans evolved, it was declared a “reproductive right”.

Wrong: It is incorrect to connect “reproductive right” with abortion.  Reproduction is to create life.  Abortions kill life.

Reproduction is guaranteed. There is no law in the United States to stop a woman to reproduce themselves.  There are laws however to force a woman to submit to rape to produce a child, hence this needs to be openly discussed. Are rape victims entitled to an abortion?

When Roe vs Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court, the legal battle for abortion as a right returned to the States.  In many cases little has changed— but other states have aggressively promoted abortion, with no ethical discussions by the people or legislatures.  California for example now promotes itself as an abortion state and encourages abortion tourism.  Other states are more restrictive.  Washington State has changed little, but has imposed some restrictions on term limits for abortion.

I am an advocate for proactive, non-invasive, birth control – before a baby is conceived.  There are many natural methods and many pharmaceutical methods to stop the conception of a baby that is unwanted. I am open to consider public funding for non-invasive birth control methods, because a baby that is unwanted is more likely to suffer child abuse.

I am also an advocate for promoting adoptions for those who are unwilling or unable to care for a child. Adoptions are caring gifts for those who give up or take on a child to raise.

Lastly, as a policy issue, I promote the defunding of abortion with tax dollars.  Instead, abortions if they occur, should be sponsored by those who promote abortions and not by those who see abortion as murder.
