Thank you for contacting me with your
inquiries on my pro-life position. I have been a school board member for the
Battle Ground School District for nearly seven years and my seat is up for
reelection in November. However despite early plans to run again I have
officially ended my candidacy. My wife and I will be relocating in Clark County
but as the move will put me outside my representative district within the BGSD I
could not serve if reelected. I have notified the elections people in Olympia
and have informed local voter groups and the local newspaper. Furthermore I
encourage people to vote for Cecil
Schlecht who is now running unopposed.
Cecil's church affiliation is a pretty fair indication of his support of
pro-life issues but I'm sure he can speak for himself. I am in full support of
your critical positions and continue to pray for office holders who endorse
them. Thank you for your good work.
